Frequently Asked Questions
What is Lightroom? Which Lightroom should I use?
Lightroom is a photo editing app created by Adobe. You can either purchase a subscription for Lightroom Classic on your computer or download their free mobile app to edit on your phone. Desktop Lightroom does allow for better editing capabilities. Lightroom Classic is more advanced than Lightroom CC, and can be easily mistaken.
How can I get the best out of my mobile presets?
You will always get the best result from high-quality images. My presets have been created to be applied to photos that have been shot in DNG (a high-quality version of a photo). Most smartphones will take jpg (a smaller photo file) images by default, however, you can change your settings to shoot in DNG on your mobile. To shoot in DNG on your mobile, use the camera mode in your Lightroom app.
I’ve never used Abobe Lightroom before, it is hard to use?
Adobe Lightroom Classic is a very user-friendly application, and as the saying goes, practice does make perfect!. To help you understand the basics better, I have provided a short video tutorial on how to download, and how to edit in Lightroom mobile and desktop that come with each purchase to give you all the tips you need to get started!
What’s the difference between Lightroom desktop and mobile?
As a photographer, my personal preference is always editing on my desktop due to the larger screen, and the advanced capabilities of the program. However, the lightroom app is always my go-to when I’m out on location and want to pop something up on my social media.
